This policy applies to the Ventrax Navra mobile app and the Navra marketing website. Navra is operated by Ventrax Digital in the United Arab Emirates. It covers registered members, guests, trip organisers, group administrators and website visitors.
Information the app collects
We collect information you provide, information created through your use of Navra and limited device data:
- Account and profile: display name, email address, profile photo, optional age range, city or region, bio and experience level. Authentication credentials are handled securely by our authentication provider.
- Garage and vehicle: vehicle details, modifications, maintenance records, odometer readings, receipts and photos you choose to add.
- Trips and community: trip details, routes, GPX files, saved waypoints, checklists, RSVPs, group and convoy membership, posts, feedback and uploaded photos.
- Location: coordinates, speed, altitude and heading while you actively use navigation or convoy features. We do not request background location access.
- OBD-II data: diagnostic codes and vehicle metrics when you choose to connect a compatible Bluetooth scanner.
- Safety and communications: an optional emergency contact, push-notification token and marketing preference.
- Diagnostics: app version, device operating system, crash information and anonymised usage metrics when the relevant optional controls are enabled.
Location, Bluetooth and permissions
Navra uses foreground location to power navigation, saved waypoints and live convoy coordination. Convoy members can see your position only during an active trip when location sharing is enabled. Live convoy positions are not retained after the session ends; waypoints and routes you deliberately save remain until you remove them.
Bluetooth is used only when you connect an OBD-II device. Notifications are used for operational messages such as trip invites, convoy updates and reminders. You can change device permissions in iOS or Android settings and control sharing, analytics and diagnostics from Profile → Settings → Privacy Settings.
Information from this website
The marketing website does not currently create user accounts, run advertising trackers or use analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may process standard technical request information, such as IP address, browser details and request timestamps, to deliver and secure the site. If you email us, we receive the details and message you choose to send and use them to answer your enquiry.
How we use information
- Provide accounts, trips, navigation, garage, convoy, recovery and community features.
- Deliver transactional messages, push notifications and support.
- Keep the service secure, investigate abuse and diagnose faults.
- Improve Navra using feedback and optional, anonymised performance information.
- Send product and community updates only where you have opted in; every marketing email includes an unsubscribe route.
- Meet legal obligations and protect users or the public where required.
Depending on the context and the law that applies to you, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating a secure service, or a legal obligation.
When information is shared
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third-party advertisers. Information is shared only as needed:
- With other Navra members according to the feature and your settings, such as RSVP status or live position during an active convoy.
- Supabase for authentication, database, file storage and backend infrastructure.
- Expo for push-notification delivery.
- Resend for transactional and opted-in marketing email delivery.
- Open-Meteo for weather data; an approximate location may be sent without your Navra account details.
- Vercel for hosting and securing this website.
- Authorities or advisers where required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.
Storage and security
App data is hosted through Supabase in the Tokyo region on cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest by our infrastructure providers. Row-level access controls restrict account data, and app session tokens are stored in secure device storage. No online service can promise absolute security, but we use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards and review access as the product develops.
Retention and account deletion
We retain account information while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account directly in the app or send us a verified request. Personal data is deleted within 30 days of a valid request, although in-app deletion is designed to take effect immediately. See our account deletion instructions.
Anonymised aggregate information may remain because it can no longer identify you. We may keep marketing consent records for up to three years for compliance. Where a trip involved other members, its existence may remain in their records without your personal details. We may also retain limited information where law, fraud prevention or dispute resolution requires it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your information; withdraw consent; object to certain processing; and complain to a relevant data-protection authority. Use the controls in Profile → Settings → Privacy Settings or email us. We aim to respond to formal requests within 30 days, or sooner where required.
International processing
Ventrax Digital is based in the UAE and our providers may process information in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual and organisational safeguards for cross-border processing.
Children
Navra is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Navra evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the app, email or a prominent website notice where appropriate.
