Frequently asked questions
Can Navra import GPX routes?
Yes. GPX route import is part of the current UAE beta and can be kept with the trip’s waypoints, meeting information and checklist.
Does GPS need mobile data?
Satellite GPS and mobile data are different systems. Navra’s GPS, compass and coordinates do not depend on a live data connection, but map and route availability depends on what has been prepared. Full offline terrain packs are still on the roadmap.
Is a saved desert route always safe to follow again?
No. Terrain, weather, construction, fences and legal access can change. A route file is evidence of a previous plan, not a current safety guarantee or permission to enter.
Should I rely on one phone in the desert?
No. Carry backup power and another navigation source, share important coordinates and the expected return time, and travel with an appropriate group and safety plan.
